FAQs

How long are sessions & how often will I see you?

Sessions are generally 53 minutes, unless we decide a different amount of time is more suitable. We will also work together to determine frequency of sessions - I see people as frequently as 2x/week to as needed (monthly or every other month) for maintenance.

What are your fees?

My private pay rate for a 50-minute session is $145.

I am also in network with a variety of insurances. Find more information about insurances here. You may also benefit from contacting your insurance to verify mental health coverages.

Where are you located?

I currently provide therapy sessions via telehealth to anyone located in Texas and offer in person sessions near The Woodlands, Texas.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice of cancellation to avoid a fee of $65.

What can I expect during the first session?

During the initial session, it’s my time to get to know some of your background and identify goals for therapy. It’s also important to decide if we are a good fit for each other; we are establishing a therapeutic relationship that will be the core of us working together.

Is therapy confidential?

All communications between and client and therapist are considered confidential, aside from a few exceptions. Situations where I am able to break confidentiality may include:

-Written permission from the client to disclose information (forms must be completed and signed, designating who I can talk to and what information I can share)

-Suspected child abuse or dependent abuse or elder abuse. The therapist is required to report this to the appropriate authorities immediately.

-A client threatening serious bodily harm to another person.

-A client intending to harm him or herself. We will make every effort to safety plan to ensure safety, but there may be additional measures that must be taken.

-Speaking with or sharing information with insurance companies so they will provide coverage for sessions (if applicable).
